Cassandra & Michael
Brampton is my hometown and as a photographer, I get to take pictures in the places I grew up such as Professor’s Lake, Heart Lake and one of my favourite places, Chinguacousy Park. I used to go to “Ching” as the locals here call it. As a kid I loved tobogganing down the hill, going to the play park and feeding the ducks at the pond. The park has changed significantly over the years, but it’s still one of the best spots for family outings, long walks with your pup, and as a lovely backdrop for photography. It’s located at Bramalea Road and Queen Street and is rather large with several different scenic locations all within the same park.
I had the pleasure of doing a lifestyle autumn shoot with my cousin Cassandra and her partner Michael last month within Chinguacousy Park. Cassandra is a talented, jovial and bubbly social butterfly who you will easily get along with no matter where you meet her. I met her partner Michael on a few occasions and I can tell you that he is friendly, quiet, and very kind and sweet to my dear cousin. Although in many ways they are quite different, they both share a kindred heart and balance the yin and the yang.
This photoshoot is so telling of Cassandra. She’s always been active and outgoing and she never lets anything get in her way. Well, until a couple of months ago when she broke her ankle! Now just a few weeks after her cast came off here she is living her best life, hand in hand with Michael, not even a limp in sight! This shoot is also a testament to the resilience of this girl. No matter the path, the bridge or hurdles in the way, this girl will find a way to make it to the other side with a bright, beautiful smile on her face.
This couple’s lifestyle shoot was a perfect way to remember a piece of their story. The way that they look at each other, the laughter as they walked together, the way he wraps his arms around her. One day they will look back at these pictures while reminiscing about this chapter in their life. I hope it brings a smile to their face. Being a part of creating these memories enriches my soul as a photographer.
Any given day is a great day to capture some memories with the people you love. Why not capture some of your own with your local Brampton photographer?!!
