Forks of the Credit Pre Wedding Photo Shoot
Avneet and Jigyasa – October 2019
Canadian autumns offer crisp cool breezes, sunny days and cold nights. A perfect mix for merging seasons. Watching the leaves ripen into bright bold hues of yellow, orange and red make for beautiful scenic drives along the tree edged roads of our more suburban and rural areas. A short drive from Toronto, you will encounter one of Ontario’s magnificent provincial parks with an array of natural beauty. The Forks of the Credit River Provincial Park, part of the Niagara Escapement, located in Belfountain is quite the magnet for those looking to take in all the fall season has to offer. As a Brampton wedding photographer, I can highly recommend this area for engagement sessions, wedding portraits or couples photography. It made a picturesque backdrop for Avneet and his fiance Jigyasa who decided to have their pre-wedding pictures at the Forks of the River Provincial Park in October to savour the beauty of the season.

One of the most memorable things you will see as you walk into the park is the fast-flowing river outlined with colourful tall trees that have stood the test of time. I had to stop and take a few pictures with the trees perfectly framing my couple. Love like theirs will only grow stronger and flourish like those trees. Looking through their pictures you can see clearly what the foundation of love should look like. Sweet. Honest. Endearing.

So many things to see and do!
As a wedding photographer in Brampton I have had the pleasure of visiting the Forks of the Credit River multiple times over the years. Driving along the winding roads you will spot different farms, rows of corn and notice that some paths suddenly turn into dirt roads. As you near the Forks your leisurely drive will likely slow to a panoramic crawl as many people come to drive the bends and bows or stop and hike through the Bruce Trail. As you get to the downtown area at the end of Old Main Street it is easy to see the charm that draws people in. Old fashioned ice cream parlours, quaint shops, and what seems to be a more relaxed way of life. Of course, the breathtaking natural beauty, the train tracks that run through and rich architectural history are also on the long list of musts at the Forks.

You’re likely to see the Gingerbread Cottage and the Little Red Candy Shack if you turn onto Bush Street. We parked along the road and took the scenic walk down the winding roads passing a number of bikers who come to take it all in as well. Note: If you’re into motorcycling you’ll love going into the Forks of the Credit River and chumming with the other bikers who make the trek!

Sweet Beginnings
They have a sweet story this cute couple. They met in post-secondary school and became the best of friends, but only friends for a long time! Only after graduating and years later did they realize their potential as a couple. It’s a love story made for the beauty of real life. Stories like theirs remind us that love can happen when you least expect it, that what is meant to be will be, and that time will reveal the splendid colours of our destiny. Once upon a time, a long time ago, they were just friends! But now they are on their journey and will begin a new life as husband and wife in 2020 with their wedding celebrations in India. I had the great pleasure of capturing some memories of them in a slice of time before marriage. I feel truly blessed to have met Avneet and Jigyasa and share a little of their story with you. May their love live bright and beautiful throughout all seasons of life.
